A Vintage Personified by Precision and Grace

Against the backdrop of these harsh conditions, Domaine Comte de Vogue's vines offered a limited but exceptional harvest. Eloquent Expressions of Terroir

The perilous journey from blossom to bottle for this vintage speaks through its flavours – an eloquent expression of terroir marred with subtle hints of the year's struggles. Red berries and cherries provide the narrative arc, supported by well-integrated oak that whispers rather than shouts. The typical mineral undertones manifest as a bold retort to the vagaries of weather - standing firm where other wines might falter.

With secure cellaring potential, this offering from Domaine Comte de Vogue is not only a memorable drinking experience for collectors and connoisseurs alike but also an intriguing contestant in the realms of wine investment. As it matures, expect further complexity to underpin its already impressive elegance.

The 2013 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru has a slightly earthier and more masculine bouquet than the Chambolle Village, here the fruit a tad darker with wet gravel scents filtering through. There is something a little opaque about the aromatics - mysterious even. The palate is clean and precise, linear in the mouth with well judged acidity, not a powerful wine but detailed and quite sophisticated. It needs another 4-5 years in bottle, but it will be worth the wait. This is a beautifully crafted wine.
